A person has been shot lifeless by police as officers have been responding to stories of an individual carrying a firearm at Milton Keynes railway station, Thames Valley Police stated.
The incident occurred at Elder Gate shortly earlier than 1pm on Tuesday. Thames Valley Police and British Transport Police officers attended the scene.
Tames Valley Police stated officers “responded and challenged” the person reported to be carrying the weapon.
The pressure stated in a press release: “Armed officers from Thames Valley Police responded and challenged the man, before shots were fired by police. Life-saving actions were immediately taken at the scene, but the man was pronounced dead at 1.44pm.”
The assertion added police don’t imagine there’s any additional threat to the general public at the moment.
