More than 400 properties are with out energy as hearth crews deal with a blaze at {an electrical} substation within the centre of Exeter.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service was referred to as to the scene off Fore Street shortly after 6am on Sunday.
Crews are working to carry the fireplace below management and shield close by properties, which have been evacuated, officers stated.
The National Grid stated 405 properties had been with out energy on Sunday morning. Power had been restored to 491 properties.
The supplier stated the outage was attributable to “third party damage” to its community, with energy anticipated to be restored to all properties by 12pm.
