Moscow airports shut down after Ukraine’s drone strikes
Russian authorities have shut down a minimum of three airports in Moscow after in a single day Ukrainian drone strikes.
Flight operations have been suspended at Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports after mayor Sergei Sobyanin stated Russian air defences shot down six drones that have been “flying towards Moscow”, Kyiv Independent reported.
On Wednesday, Russia had stated its air defences shot down greater than 370 Ukrainian drones, together with some approaching Moscow, and the capital’s airports have been briefly shut down to make sure the security of flights.
As Russia, Ukraine, the US and European powers focus on methods to finish the greater than three-year-old battle in Ukraine, combating has intensified on some components of the entrance line and drone warfare has continued.
Russia’s defence ministry stated on Telegram that a minimum of 376 Ukrainian drones have been intercepted or destroyed on Wednesday. Most have been over Russia’s western areas bordering Ukraine and central Russia.
