At least two colleges in Greater Manchester have been on lockdown after police responded to an incident believed to contain a person with a knife on Bowlee Park, in Middleton.
Manchester Evening News experiences that Bowlee Park Community School was locked down as “a precaution”.
Correspondence seen by the title says: “School has received information that an individual has been seen in the park carrying a knife.
“The college has locked down as a precautionary measure. Children are protected at school. The police are coping with the incident. Please don’t come to highschool. We offers you an additional replace when we’ve got extra data.”
