
The first of the 26 suggestions of the Senate fee of inquiry on the usefulness of public support for firms, made public on Tuesday July 8, would appear nearly infantile: to create a desk. However, it’s like what revealed, generally in a ubiquitous method, the eighty-seven hours of labor within the Commission: a scarcity of transparency and monitoring of what constitutes right now one of the essential budgets of the State, with a problem of the State providers themselves to seek out their method.
Created, in January, on the request of the Communist, Republican, Citizen and Ecologist group-Kanaky, the Commission led by Senators Olivier Rietmann (Les Républicains, Haute-Saône), as President, and Fabien Gay (Communist Party, Seine-Saint-Denis), as rapporteur, auditioned 33 leaders of the most important French firms, a dozen representatives of state providers and state providers Public establishments, so many economists, worker unions, MEDEF, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Eric Lombard, and the Minister of Labor, Health, Solidarity and Families, Catherine Vautrin, amongst others. In a context of public finance disaster and world commerce struggle, it pursued three targets: to determine the price of public support granted to companies, to find out whether or not these aids are correctly managed and evaluated, to replicate on their conditionality.
