I Hope You and Yours Are Well.
My Birthday is developing quickly. Years in the past, once I LIVED IN LONDON, BIRTHDAYS WOULD MEAN A Posh Meal In London with my husband, or perhaps a weekend away in a rustic resort, and a present. My Birthdays in France are very completely different, the day is way the identical as most days right here – and i could not be extra pleased about it.
A Weekend Away with as many animals as we’ve (4 canines, 6 cats and umpteen chickens, geese and geese, plus a Thriving Herd of Wild Hedgehogs, Apparently the Correct Term is a ‘Prickle’ of Hedgehogs, Who Visit Every Night for the Free Buffet Trade The Cats Food) is Never Going to Happen (They are Worth it)!
The Gift I Appreciate Most is that we’re wholesome and pleased. Life shouldn’t be excellent in France, of race there are challenges, french forms drives us batty for one. And I Still Struggle With Learning FRENCH THOUGH THIS YEAR IT’S IMPROVED DRAMATICALLY AS I’VE TAKEN STEPS TO LEARN FORMALLY WITH TEACHER-LED LESSONS, RATHER THAN HOPING I’LL PICK UP THOSE TRICKY GRAMMAR RULES Just by Being. Next Year I’ll be Doing An Immersion Race in Aix-en-Provence to Up My Game (Plus Any Excuse to spend Time within the Fabulous Sunny, Cultural City is sweet), I Did a Few Days of Immersion in Brittany with the Same Company Earlier this Year with Fantastic Results. And the luxurious meal has been substitute with an evening out at our favorite auberge in a couple of a couple of minutes away. It’s not a flowery restaurant: The Average Meal is round € 12 – Generous Portions, Local Produce and Always Delicious. We’re Welcomed with a kiss on the cheeks for me, and Handshake for Mark (As an Uptight Brit, Mark has not embraced the Cheek Kissing Custom as I’ve!), And Everyone Says Hello. It’s the place for locals to satisfy and wrestling on the information and the gossip. It’s a bit like a french “cheers” the place Everyone Knows Your Name – Or at Least Your Face.
My Nonagenarian Neighbour Claudette Says that she is Happy Most of the Time, and Though She would not Mind Being 70 Years Younger, She would not dwell on it as it might serve no function. She say that to seek out pleasure in easy pleasures Every Day is the best achievement in a world that is more and more advanced. And that gathering moments, not THINGS MAKES you content. She is Never Wrong.
