Pierre-Nicolas Nups, far-right candidate for the early legislative elections of 2024, and two activists from the Parti de la France, prosecuted for inciting racial hatred for a poster calling for donations “a future for white children”had been launched on Friday by the Nancy legal courtroom, Agence France-Presse (AFP) realized, Saturday 1er November, with the lawyer of Licra (International League towards Racism and Anti-Semitism) Nancy.

The courtroom accepted the objections of nullity raised by the defendants and affecting the process, defined to AFP Me Stéphane Massé, lawyer for Licra Nancy. “We are very surprised because the objections of nullity which had been raised did not hold water, moreover the prosecution had associated itself with our position”stated the lawyer.

“I hope that the prosecution will quickly appeal this decision. It is essential that the Court of Appeal can re-examine the facts and forcefully reiterate that there is no place for speeches that prioritize human beings.reacted Franck Porterat, president of Licra Nancy.

Mr. Nups eliminated in the first round of legislative elections

The prosecution had requested a 100 day fine of 10 euros, the posting of the court decision and three years of ineligibility against Mr. Nups. Suspended prison sentences and fines were requested for the two other defendants. The three men were on trial for inciting racial hatred after the sticking up, during the legislative campaign, of posters showing a blond boy with blue eyes, with the slogan “Let’s give white children a future”.

The poster bore the signature of the Parti de la France, a small group which introduced just one candidate within the legislative elections of June 2024, within the 5e constituency of Meurthe-et-Moselle. It was broadcast specifically in Neuves-Maisons, a city of seven,000 inhabitants on this constituency. The mayor of Neuves-Maisons, Pascal Schneider, had filed a grievance in addition to Licra and SOS Racisme.

Mr. Nups, eradicated within the first spherical of those elections, declared to the newspaper The Republican East to have ” valid “ this poster which conveyed, in response to him, “a message of hope for our youth and nothing else”. In 2017, he was sentenced to 6 months in jail, confirmed on attraction and in cassation, for posting a video entitled “We’re going to break some faggot”.
