EasyJet flight declares mid-air emergency as paramedics rush to satisfy aircraft | UK | News | EUROtoday

An easyJet pilot declared a mid-air emergency on a service travelling from Paris to Edinburgh. Flight EZY3242 departed from Paris Charles de Gaulle airport shortly after 5pm on Friday night and arrived within the Scottish capital earlier than 6.30pm.

According to flight monitoring web site FlightRadar24, the pilot transmitted a 7700 code while descending, signalling a normal emergency aboard the plane. Paramedics have been on standby for the easyJet plane upon its touchdown.

FlightRadar24 reported: “#U23242 from Paris to Edinburgh squawking 7700 on descent into Edinburgh.”

An easyJet spokesperson informed Edinburgh Live: “easyJet can confirm that flight EZY3242 from Paris Charles de Gaulle to Edinburgh on November 14 was met by paramedics due to a passenger requiring urgent medical assistance.”

“The wellbeing of our passengers and crew is always easyJet’s highest priority, and our crew are trained to evaluate and respond to medical situations onboard.”
