A meals charity serving to individuals in disadvantaged areas throughout Surrey and Sussex says this winter may very well be the hardest but for its customers.
FareShare Sussex & Surrey offers meals parcels, helps group pantries, and cooks sizzling meals in group and residential settings for these in want.
The charity says a mixture of “incredibly high” meals and vitality prices imply extra persons are turning to it for assist – about 28,500 each week.
To sustain with demand, FareShare is attempting to boost £50,000 between 2-9 December, which it says will assist it to supply 200,000 meals.
FareShare is working with The Big Give, a fund-matching group, which can double all cash raised throughout that week.

“Without our weekly deliveries of fresh fruit, vegetables and staples, we simply would not be able to operate.”
FareShare Sussex & Surrey says it rescues and redistributes surplus meals from companies, supermarkets, producers and farms from its depots in Guildford and Brighton to 248 native organisations throughout the 2 counties.
