Tragedy as man dies at Asda department in England | UK | News | EUROtoday

A person died in an Asda department on Monday afternoon, simply three days earlier than Christmas. The man suffered a “serious medical incident”, police mentioned in an announcement.

The incident occurred at a department in West End, a parish simply 5 miles from the town of Southampton. It concerned a person in his 50s, police mentioned. Police officers and paramedics attended the scene at about 2.30pm on December 22.

A police spokesperson mentioned: “We were called at 2.32pm on December 22 to support the ambulance service dealing with a serious medical incident involving a man in his 50s at ASDA in West End.

“Despite the efforts of emergency providers, the person was sadly pronounced lifeless.”

His next of kin, police also said, have been made aware.

The death of the man, the force added, is not being treated as suspicious.

This comes just a month after a man in his 30s died in an Asda car park stairwell following an incident.

The man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “We acquired a name round 1:50pm this afternoon following the priority for the welfare of a person throughout the stairwell of the automobile park off Silver Street in Worcester. Despite the very best efforts of emergency staff, the person in his 30s was pronounced deceased.”
