The hard-left chief, who needs to abolish the royal household, printed his festive video replace at 3pm right this moment, the very same time because the monarch’s annual tv broadcast.
The Green Party’s press launch implied this had been carried out intentionally, sparking accusations of “disrespect”. The Conservative Party chairman Kevin Hollinrake blasted: “Who does Zac Polanski assume he’s? Releasing a political video on Christmas Day, intentionally timed to conflict with the King’s Christmas message, is shameless and disrespectful.”
“As the nation comes collectively to take heed to His Majesty communicate, the Green Party chief chooses to stage a tone deaf, self-promoting stunt calling for extra spending on asylum seekers.”
The top Tory added: ”Polanski must to apologise.”
The Green Party leader, who has overseen an astonishing rise in support for his party since being elected in September, used his Christmas broadcast to call on the government to spend £400 million more on illegal migrants.

In his online video, he said: “This has to stop – the constant political rhetoric and demonisation of people who are just trying to survive in unimaginable living conditions.
“I don’t believe we’re the country who the media paint us to be. I don’t believe that we’re cruel and heartless. And I don’t believe that if people saw what I’ve seen in recent days, they would turn away.
“We should be diverting that money to a humanitarian and compassionate response.
“The rhetoric we hear about ‘stopping the boats’ and ‘smashing the gangs’ – none of this is working.”
Speaking about his desire to abolish the monarchy previously, Mr Polanksi argued that the historic and beloved institution is a “clear image of the inequality that exists in our society”.
“It’s not my number one priority because there’s lots of other things to do, and we know the country is divided by how they feel about monarchy, but if the straight question is, ‘would I abolish the monarchy,’ yeah, absolutely.”
