Despite a November 2024 ceasefirewhich was supposed to end more than a year of hostility between Israel and Hezbollah, Israel continued to strike in Lebanon and has maintained troops in five areas it deems strategic, pointing the finger at what it deems truce violations by the Lebanese Party of God.
