A trainer was reportedly referred to a UK terror watchdog after exhibiting movies of Donald Trump to college students. The trainer, who hasn’t been named, is claimed to have proven younger individuals finding out A-level politics clips of the US president, together with his inauguration.

But the trainer was accused of inflicting his A-level college students at The Henley College, Oxfordshire, “emotional harm”. He was known as a “priority” by native youngster safeguarding officers, who then referred him to the Government’s Prevent counter-terrorism programme.

The trainer initiated a grievance process towards the sixth-form school, which reportedly awarded him £2,000, in line with the Daily Telegraphwhich first reported the case.

He advised the publication: “It was just terrifying, just mind-boggling. We were discussing the US election, Trump had just won, and I showed a couple of videos from the Trump campaign.

“Next factor, I used to be accused of bias. One of the scholars stated they have been emotionally disturbed and claimed to have had nightmares.”

The teacher said he is a Republican supporter, but denied being an extremist. He asked the Free Speech Union to help fight a claim of misconduct.

In a letter, not seen by the Daily Express, the teacher was told he had shared “inappropriate content material” with his students and was accused of presenting political views emphasising “Right-wing, doubtlessly extremist views”.

The teacher said he also showed the students videos of Kamala Harris. He said he also wrote to US Vice President JD Vance, complaining of a “communist-style silencing of opinion and narratives counter to that imposed by the illiberal far Left”.

He accused the college of “full Left-wing bias”. The Henley College has been approached for comment.

The Henley College told the Telegraph it does not comment on individual allegations or ongoing investigations.

It added: “We are dedicated to safeguarding the wellbeing of all our college students and workers, and observe statutory safeguarding procedures in step with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025.

“Allegations are handled with due care, in accordance with statutory guidance, with appropriate support provided to all involved.”
