“I know that this type of purchase weighs on my daily life, but when I wear it, all my hesitations disappear” | EUROtoday

“When I fall in love with a t-shirt, I always have a moment of doubt when I go to the checkout. It’s almost a questioning: wouldn’t this be a compulsive purchase? Shouldn’t I rather keep these 10 or 15 euros for gas, food or even outings? I know very well that this type of purchase always ends up weighing somewhere in my daily life. I’m a student, in CAP cooking on a work-study basis, and clearly, I don’t have a lot of resources.

But, when I wear my t-shirt for the first time, all my hesitations disappear. I’m happy that people can appreciate my new style. I feel like I’m doing a fashion show in the street. “You see, I have a new t-shirt, it cost me a lot but it’s not bad, right?”, that is what I feel. Obviously, it is all in my head, I’m unsure anybody notices me. When associates give me their opinion, it touches me, however, deep down, I do not actually count on compliments.
