On the heels of the US assault on Venezuela, leaders from main European powers and Canada are rallying behind Greenland amid threats of a US takeover. Nick Morgan, Director of the Centre for Latin American and the Caribbean at Newcastle University, warns of the results of an “extremely weak” and divided Europe he deems “woefully unprepared for the new world order.” As the EU’s relationship with the US continues to fray, Europe faces “the resurgence of a populist right across the whole block.”
