Pearl serves as a prequel to the horror flick X, unfolding in 1918 and chronicling a younger lady confined to a distant Texas farm. She finds herself imprisoned while tending to her sickly father and authoritarian mom, on a regular basis craving to interrupt free for a glittering dance profession.

This bottled-up frustration and longing ultimately explodes into savage, psychopathic behaviour directed at her kinfolk and native residents as she spirals into madness.
