A one-year-old boy has died after his head turned lodged in an indoor slide at a rural Missouri daycare final week, police say.

The incident occurred Thursday morning at an in-home daycare facility simply outdoors town limits of Potosi, Missouri.

According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, the toddler slipped by means of a small opening in a toy slide inside the house. His head turned lodged, limiting his airway and inflicting a lack of oxygen – in the end killing him.
