Since late August 2025, China has taken supply of a minimum of 24 liquefied pure gasoline (LNG) shipments from two sanctioned Russian amenities, Arctic LNG 2 and Portovaya. This underscores elevated cooperation between China and Russia because the Kremlin seeks to spice up LNG exports in an effort to fund its conflict in Ukraine.
