The woman alleges she was raped by Davidson when they were in London. The court heard she felt “scared, intimidated and helpless” during the attack as “he was a lot stronger than she was and felt involved for her security”.

A flashback led her to later report it. Video footage on Mr Davidson’s mobile led detectives to another of his accusers, a woman he had met on Tinder. In the video, she is lying down “at the very least half-naked” in a hotel bedroom in Phuket, Thailand.

It is alleged she was groped by Mr Davidson. Mr Hearnden told jurors: “The solely factor you may hear is the sound of loud night breathing – she was asleep, nonetheless and unresponsive.”

She did not consent to being intimately touched by the defendant and had no idea the video existed until the police told her, jurors were told.

The woman said she had “drunk intercourse” with Mr Davidson, but did not consent the next day when she was a bit hungover and he allegedly tried to rape her.

She described herself as being “very afraid on this second”, and it felt like “a really harmful scenario to be in”, the court heard.

Defence counsel Charlotte Newell KC said Mr Davidson denies raping, trying to rape or sexually assaulting either woman.

She said: “He will say there was no intercourse in any respect along with her in London as he was not sexually interested in her – and that perhaps disappointing or upsetting – in actuality there was no spark for him.”

Ms Newell said her client denies attempting to rape a woman in her sleep when they were in Thailand.

He maintains the sexual touching was with permission and the woman was just pretending to be asleep. Ms Newell added: “He understands that she can be upset when she came upon he had videoed her.”
