Conservative commentator Charlie Sykes on Thursday related the dots on what he described because the Trump administration’s “Marie Antoinette” messaging.
Sykes, showing on MS NOW’s “The Weeknight,” first slammed Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins’ current extensively mocked $3 meal deal speak (in response to the cost-of-living disaster, which Donald Trump’s tariffs haven’t eased) as “one of the saddest bits of spin that I’ve seen in a long time.”
The pundit then defined how he believes it’s a part of a wider sample.
Rollins herself has beforehand instructed Americans might fight excessive egg costs by getting chickens and the president has argued folks must be pleased with simply fewer toys and pencils, Sykes famous.
“Oh, happy days are here again if you get those things,” he sarcastically stated.
“This is supposed to be the ‘Golden Age’ and this is coming from a guy who’s building himself a $400 million ballroom,” he added.
“What I see here is just the absolute tone deafness,” and Rollins “does not have her finger on the pulse of middle America, in any way whatsoever,” Sykes stated.
