Workers At Family-Run Mexican Restaurant Were Arrested After Serving A Meal To ICE Agents | EUROtoday

The reported arrest of three restaurant staff in Willmar, Minnesota — coming simply hours after Immigration and Customs Enforcement brokers had reportedly dined of their institution — has been extensively condemned on social media as “depraved” and “diabolical.”

The Minnesota Star Tribune, citing an eyewitness, reported Thursday that 4 ICE brokers sat right down to eat lunch on the family-owned Mexican restaurant El Tapatio at round 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

Staff appeared “frightened,” in line with the witness.

After the enterprise closed at 8.30 p.m., brokers reportedly adopted the departing staff and detained three of them, whereas being heckled by protesters.

The immigration standing of the detained staff shouldn’t be identified.

The reported incident comes amid heightened federal immigration enforcement exercise in Minnesota, and amid rising tensions following the deadly taking pictures of Renee Good by an ICE agent.

The Department of Homeland Security has not commented on the report.
