The household of El Hacen Diarra, a 35-year-old Mauritanian who died of cardiac arrest whereas in police custody after being violently arrested by police for alleged possession of hashish, demanded on Tuesday the arrest of the “police officers involved”, citing post-mortem outcomes “characteristic” of strangulation.
