Protesters managed to interrupt right into a UK jail in an effort to assist a Palestine Action prisoner on starvation strike. Officers from the Metropolitan Police flooded into HMP Wormwood Scrubs in West London after the demonstrators have been in a position to break into the jail grounds on Saturday night.
The group that was protesting in assist of the prisoner on starvation strike then refused to depart the grounds. Protesters then allegedly blocked jail employees from having the ability to enter or go away the jail and threatened officers who arrived on the scene.
A spokesperson for the police pressure added: “All those involved are currently detained and will be arrested on suspicion of aggravated trespass.
“We will update on the number of arrests when all those involved have been taken into custody.”
The jail nicknamed “The Scrubs” is a Category B jail, situated within the White City space of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.
Category B prisons are the extent under most safety class A prisons and are alleged to be safe, closed services.
