Ahead of tonight’s crunch assembly with Labour MPs, Sir Keir Starmer has been advised to ‘personal his error’ by a Labour MP.
Speaking to the BBC Today Program, Andy McDonald MP stated: “I don’t think getting rid of one or two individuals – be it Mandelson or McSweeney – addresses the fundamental problem at the heart of the Labour Party.”
He added: “If he doesn’t own the error he has made and recognise the problem in front of him and articulate it and tell us how he is going to deal with it, then I am afraid it is coming to end – if not today then certainly in the weeks and months ahead.
“He has obtained to persuade the Parliamentary Labour Party he has obtained it.”
