Traffic chaos has struck the M25 throughout the night rush hour after an enormous crash and delays of as much as an hour. Vehicles have been stopped on the UK’s busiest motorway in Surrey, anti-clockwise between junction 9 (Leatherhead) and junction 8 (Reigate).
Drivers approaching the accident have been warned to anticipate delays of as much as an hour past regular journey instances and to permit additional time for his or her journey. National Highways South East wrote on X: “Traffic is stopped on the #M25 in #Surrey anti-clockwise between J9 (#Leatherhead) and J8 (#Reigate) due to a collision. Recovery services en route. Delays of 60 minutes above normal travel times on approach, please allow extra journey time.”
