Joe Scarborough Cites 1 Dire Poll To Warn Trump That ‘Owning The Libs’ No Longer Works | EUROtoday

MS NOW host Joe Scarborough on Friday warned President Donald Trump that his political “shock opera” technique not appears to work, citing a dramatic swing in latest polling as an indication his “stupid actions” after retaking the White House have had dire penalties.

“A 51-point swing,” Scarborough stated. “I’ve never heard of that in American politics before.”

The “Morning Joe” host was particularly pointing to a YouGov/Economist ballot exhibiting 46% of U.S. adults really feel Trump is doing a worse job than former President Joe Biden, and that his +9 internet approval ranking amongst 18- to 29-year-olds from the beginning of his second time period has plummeted to -42.

Scarborough and co-host Mika Brzezinski had simply been discussing the Trump administration’s chaotic immigration enforcement operations in Minnesota, which Brzezinski was seemingly suggesting was central to Trump’s disastrous approval scores.

“Oh no, no, no, this is just overall,” Scarborough interjected.

“These polls where a year into the president’s term voters are saying Joe Biden was better, and there’s a spate of them out this week,” he famous, quoting from an Axios report: “Young voters have cratered: The YouGov/Economist poll found Donald Trump -42 net approval among 18- to 29-year-olds.”

The surprised MS NOW host went on to reiterate that it is a whopping 51-point swing in a single yr, marveling out loud about Trump’s seeming indifference to addressing these numbers — and including that if he had been “actually listening to anybody, maybe you could trim the cells a bit here and there.”

“But every day it’s another act in a shock opera, which, I don’t know,” stated Scarborough.

He added, “Maybe there’s this belief, I know there’s always been the belief, ‘Shock people, own the libs and gain your power from their overreacting,’ but we’re not — we understand this. And it’s not ‘owning the libs,’ as I’ve said before, if you’re hitting your forehead with a ball peen hammer.”

The YouGov/Economist survey was performed Feb. 6-9 amongst 1,730 U.S. adults and located that solely 40% consider Trump is doing a greater job than Biden — and that solely 28% of 18- to 29-year-olds polled really feel that approach.

Brzezinski went on to slam Trump’s time period as “the no-consequence presidency,” arguing not even the alleged “shielding” of kid predators within the case of Jeffrey Epstein, “execution-style killings” in Minnesota, or immigration raids “gone wild” have gotten anybody fired.

Her co-host appeared most surprised by Trump’s seeming indifference to his reputation.

“There is no sort of capitalist instinct inside this administration,” stated Scarborough. “You do something really stupid, a lot of times you get rewarded for it, if you’re loyal. Now that may work in Russia, that may work in Belarus. It does not work in the United States of America.”

He added: “And that’s why those poll numbers have collapsed by over 50 points among young voters, among independents. There have to be consequences to stupid actions inside the White House. And if not, the buck stops with the president of the United States.”
