Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will hold meetings with US officials, the Secretary General of NATO and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom in Munich, as well as making several public speeches. This was announced by his spokesman, Serhii Nykyforov, and reported by Ukrainska Pravda. The program will begin with talks between Zelensky and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at the Bayerischer Hof hotel, venue of the Munich Security Conference.
Two official meetings on the US front are scheduled during the day: in the morning with a bipartisan group of US senators and later with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who leads the American delegation. A conversation with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte is also scheduled.
Later today Zelensky will deliver his speech at the Munich Security Conference. This year the Ukrainian president was also invited to participate in a joint round table with Rutte, the president of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola and US senator Roger Wicker, chairman of the Senate Armed Forces Committee. Finally, a press conference by Zelensky is also scheduled for the day, and in the evening he will participate in the award ceremony of the Ewald von Kleist Prize.
The Security Conference continues today in Munich. Rubio’s speech awaited. Merz’s warning yesterday: «A gap has opened between the US and the EU; the Maga culture is not ours; the post-war order no longer exists and the Atlantic Alliance must be refounded”, stated the German Chancellor.
