Jon Stewart Torches Kash Patel’s Boozy Olympics Party Moment | EUROtoday

Jon Stewart mocked FBI Director Kash Patel over his boozy celebration with members of the U.S. males’s hockey group following their Olympic gold on Sunday.

Airing footage of individuals celebrating the second U.S. hockey gold medal of the Games throughout Monday’s episode of “The Daily Show,” the comic paused on the viral clip of the FBI director within the locker room with Team USA.

“There is nothing that can take away from this joyous moment, as all Americans celebrate… Wait, what the fuck? Is that FBI Director Kash Patel? Why are they putting a medal around the neck of the FBI director?” Stewart exclaimed.

“Is Kash Patel a Make-a-Wish… Man? Kid? Is that what this is?” he teased.

“I’m not trying to diminish his condition,” Stewart continued earlier than displaying a photograph of Patel with a seemingly startled expression. “There is currently no cure for crazy eyes.”

After CBS reported final Thursday that Patel had flown to the Olympics on an FBI jet at taxpayer expense, FBI spokesperson Ben Williamson insisted in an X put up that Patel’s flight to Europe was “not a personal trip.”

“Director Patel is on a trip that was planned months ago. It includes: partner meetings with Italian law enforcement and security officials (they invited the Director last July), meeting with Ambassador Fertitta (as a follow up to our law enforcement roundtable he hosted in January), meetings with Legat staff, and more,” he wrote.

Williamson accused MS NOW of falsely reporting in regards to the FBI director.

“Your rag outlet wrote that [Patel] went to hang out at the Olympics on the taxpayer dime – even when provided information that your theory was false. When you’re ready to correct that let me know,” Williamson wrote to MS NOW reporter Ken Dilanian in a X put up on Saturday. “Won’t hold my breath.”

Patel defended his subsequent beer-chugging Olympics look in an X put up on Sunday after the sport.

“For the very concerned media – yes, I love America and was extremely humbled when my friends, the newly minted Gold Medal winners on Team USA, invited me into the locker room to celebrate this historic moment with the boys,” he wrote. “Greatest country on earth and greatest sport on earth.”
