The European Union has determined to proceed with the entry into power of the commerce settlement with Mercosur. The choice, which in current days acquired the approval of the principle political teams within the European Chamber, comes after the ratification of the treaty by Uruguay and Argentina. The EU Council in January had empowered the Commission to provisionally apply the treaty.
The announcement was made by the President of the Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
