A New York man who allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to loss of life and attacked her teenage son of their Bronx dwelling has been arrested, in line with police.
Juan Rivas was arrested at round 2.30 p.m. on Saturday, a number of hours after the brutal assault, which reportedly left blood coming from beneath the door of the house.
The 45-year-old has been charged with homicide, manslaughter, possession of a weapon and tried homicide over the assault, which left Yesenia Hall, 42, useless and her 16-year-old son severely injured.
“I heard the boyfriend yelling, ‘I’m gonna stab you,’” neighbor Shantrice Diamond informed The New York Post, who mentioned she was woken by a loud thud adopted by “horrific” screams.
“I heard the woman’s voice. She was screaming in pain. She was screaming, ‘Stop! Stop!’ After that she said, ‘I am gonna die, I’m gonna die’ and like two minutes later I heard nothing but silence,” Diamond mentioned.
According to police, Rivas allegedly used a knife to repeatedly stab Hall within the neck and torso after which allegedly stabbed {the teenager} within the again and neck. The boy is now in secure situation, in line with the NYPD.
After the assault, Rivas allegedly modified his garments earlier than fleeing the house.
Diamond mentioned she and her mom had waited till they heard the Rivas shut the entrance door earlier than popping out to analyze.
“If I’d have walked out and he was fleeing the scene, I’m a witness so he would have stabbed me too,” she informed Post, including that there was “blood everywhere” when officers arrived.
“It was blood on the walls, blood on the floor like towards the bedroom. It was blood everywhere,” she mentioned.
She added: “I saw the little boy… He was still conscious but he looked loopy like he was about to pass out. They took him out in a chair all bloodied. “There was blood dripping from his mouth, his neck was bloody down to his clothes to his feet. The face was very, very bloody.”
Police mentioned that the incident was because of home points. Diamond mentioned she had heard earlier situations of aggressive conduct from Rivas.
Rivas is at present ready to be arraigned on the Bronx Criminal Court.
