UK’s first constitution flight to evacuate Britons from Middle East fails to take off from Oman | EUROtoday

The first flight chartered by the UK authorities to convey again Britons stranded within the Middle East by the US-Israeli conflict towards Iran didn’t take off from Oman on Wednesday.

Sky News reported that the airplane, which was on account of depart Muscat at 7pm on Wednesday, remained on the bottom on Thursday morning.

Some 130,000 Britons have registered their presence within the Middle East and the Foreign Office has mentioned it’s working with airways to convey them again.

There was no signal of the chartered flight arriving at Heathrow airport on Thursday morning and it didn’t seem on flight monitoring providers or arrival boards on the terminal.

Early morning arrivals included flights from South Africa and Nigeria as scheduled, however the terminal was quiet.

Just a few industrial flights from the Middle East are on account of arrive at Terminal 5 this morning, with one from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, touchdown simply after 6am.
