Lawrence O’Donnell Uses Barron Trump To Make Damning Point About Iran War | EUROtoday

Lawrence O’Donnell invoked Donald Trump’s youngest son, 19-year-old Barron Trump, whereas delivering a blistering critique of the president’s warfare on Iran.

The MS NOW host highlighted the stark distinction between the households whose kids are being despatched into fight and the privilege of eligible Trump relations, who are usually not.

O’Donnell started: “The Trump family’s flawless record of avoiding military service would be unremarkable if Donald Trump never started a war. But when your father starts a war, an illegal and unconstitutional war, and you are of the age that is eligible to fight and die in your father’s war, what do you do?”

He then answered his personal query:

There is not any suspense tonight about what Barron Trump will do. He will do nothing. In two weeks, he can have his twentieth celebration. It will certainly be a lavish affair. None of his associates will present up in army uniforms. No one who Barron Trump has ever been in a classroom with is more likely to have joined the army.

“Killed in the line of duty is always agonizingly tragic for the families,” stated O’Donnell. “But when those doorbells were ringing in World War II, at least the families knew what the soldiers were fighting for when they died.”

But the president’s “reason for starting his unconstitutional and illegal war changes by the hour, just like everything else Donald Trump has ever tried to explain,” he added, that means the family members of fallen troops have no idea for what motive they’ve died.
