Police officers have swarmed a rustic park in Oldham after a teenage lady was allegedly assaulted on Friday. The main police response included a cordon being arrange in Tandle Hill park, Royton, and searches throughout two scenes being carried out on March 23, the MEN reviews.
A GMP spokesperson mentioned: “Two police scenes are currently in place within Tandle Hill Country Park. The first surrounding the monument and the second is surrounding the cafe by the entrance. The scenes are expected to remain in place while specialist officers carry out a detailed search of the area. Officers were called on Saturday, March 21, to reports of a suspected assault of a teenage girl in the Oldham area. The assault is believed to have taken place the previous day, on Friday, March 20. Officers will remain visible locally to provide reassurance and support the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact us on 101, quoting log 2161 March 21, 2026.”
