Andrew Tate: British police reopen intercourse abuse investigation into influencer | EUROtoday

Police within the UK have reopened an investigation into intercourse abuse allegations made towards influencer Andrew Tate.

Hertfordshire Constabulary confirmed the transfer on Thursday.

The drive first launched its investigation in 2015 after three girls alleged that the controversial influencer had raped and assaulted them.

However, it closed the case in 2019.

On Wednesday, the Independent Office for Police Conduct stated it was wanting into the constabulary’s response to the ladies’s allegations.

One former detective constable might face gross misconduct proceedings, the IOPC stated, whereas two former detective sergeants are being investigated for alleged misconduct.

Civil proceedings towards Tate are scheduled to start on the High Court in June.

The three complainants, together with a fourth, are suing the previous skilled kickboxer over allegations of sexual violence, together with that he grabbed one by the throat on a number of events in 2015, assaulted her with a belt and pointed a gun at her face.

The 39-year-old influencer denies any wrongdoing.

The civil trial is estimated to take about 5 weeks.

Hertfordshire Constabulary stated in a press release: “We are committed to doing what is right and ensuring that allegations of such a serious nature are properly, thoroughly and fully investigated, no matter how long ago they occurred.”

In September 2025, the Crown Prosecution Service reviewed the case file to determine whether or not legal costs needs to be laid over any allegations put ahead within the civil case.

It stated the authorized check to deliver legal costs towards Tate had not been met.

A spokesman stated: “We undertook a further review of a case file in relation to allegations of assault and rape between 2013 and 2015.

“Following careful consideration of the evidence provided by Hertfordshire Constabulary, we concluded that our legal test for prosecution was not met, and that no further action should be taken.

“We have informed all parties of our decision and offered to meet with the complainants to explain our reasoning in more detail.”
