The Paris Court of Appeal opened an investigation into the previous head of the EU Border company on March 24 for probably collaborating in crimes in opposition to humanity. The former border chief, Fabrice Leggeri resigned in 2022 following allegations of mistreatment of migrants at EU borders. Now a lawmaker for France’s far-right National Rally social gathering, he denies the allegations.
