Eccles hearth: Firefighters cordon off quiet residential road as blaze erupts | UK | News | EUROtoday

A hearth erupted in a quiet residential road in Eccles on Monday. Firefighters rushed to Chadwick Road at round 7pm on March 30 following studies of a blaze.

After a number of crews reached the realm, the residential road was cordoned off on the junction with Mather Avenue. The blaze had erupted at a “derelict building”, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) mentioned.

Fire crews remained in attendance for over an hour to dampen the flames.

It shouldn’t be but clear what brought about the fireplace, and a probe into its origin has now been launched, the MEN studies.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) mentioned: “Shortly after 7pm on Monday 30 March, three fire engines from Stretford, Agecroft and Eccles fire stations were called to attend a derelict building fire on Chadwick Road, Eccles.

“Crews arrived quickly and used one hose reel, two breathing apparatus and other specialist equipment to extinguish the fire.

“Firefighters made the area safe before departing after approximately one hour and 10 minutes at the scene.”
