Moulton, who appeared on MS NOW moments after the president’s speech wrapped up, responded to host Chris Hayes asking if it appeared like a floor invasion was not a part of the administration’s technique transferring ahead.
“Chris, I’m not a child psychologist so I can’t understand the mind of Donald Trump,” the congressman replied.
Moulton went on to emphasise that Americans merely don’t know whether or not the administration will escalate the battle in such a means.
Trump’s speech on Wednesday supplied zilch so far as a plan to finish the struggle regardless of the president’s claims that the U.S. was “getting very close” to ending “the job” in Iran.
Moulton, who served within the Marine Corps through the Iraq struggle, famous that he’s “incredibly concerned” in regards to the “thousands and thousands” of U.S. Army paratroopers and Marines which can be arriving, or have already arrived, to the Middle East.
“But even in Iraq, for all the problems with that war, at least there was a plan. At least Congress had voted on it. At least the American people had weighed in. At least the generals had come before Congress and put forward a plan,” he stated.
“None of that exists today. And so I think this could get a lot worse.”
“But that’s just the price of oil. When more Americans start coming home in body bags, this is going to not only to just get immeasurably worse for us, for our nation, for our troops. But it’s going to be harder for the president to get himself out,” Moulton concluded.
