Trump Warns ‘All Hell’ If Iran Won’t Open Strait Of Hormuz | EUROtoday

President Donald Trump posted a menacing reminder of his April 6 deadline he set for Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz.

“Remember when I gave Iran ten days to MAKE A DEAL or OPEN UP THE HORMUZ STRAIT,” Trump wrote Saturday morning on Truth Social. “Time is running out — 48 hours before all Hell will reign down on them.”

It wasn’t instantly clear if spelling the phrase “reign” and never “rain” was intentional.

The president added, “Glory be to GOD!”

Trump initially gave Iran a two-day timeframe final month to reopen the strait, a pivotal international transport lane that the nation successfully shut down in response to being bombed by the U.S. and Israel. The closure of the strait, which gives passage for a few fifth of the world’s oil and a fifth of the world’s pure fuel, has made oil costs skyrocket worldwide.

Trump wrote in a March 21 Truth Social put up that the U.S. would “hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST!” if Iran didn’t open the strait.

He subsequently introduced he was “pausing the period of Energy Plant destruction,” and would give Iran till April 6 at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
