Kemi Badenoch has blasted Sir Keir Starmer for being “all mouth and no trousers” on defence. The Tory chief stated the Prime Minister’s rhetoric is just not backed by motion as she warned Labour has “no plan for rearming Britain”.
She branded delays in publishing the defence funding plan, which units out what Britain will spend on its armed forces over the subsequent decade, as a “national scandal”. “But here we are nine months later, and we still haven’t seen the accompanying defence investment plan. It was promised last autumn; it’s now April. This is a national scandal.

“There’s no plan for a way the Government goes to truly purchase the tools, weapons and munitions. There’s no plan for the way to enact the SDR. There’s no plan for rearming Britain.
“We haven’t seen the defence investment plan because they have no idea how they are going to pay for it. Keir Starmer is all mouth and no trousers when it comes to defence.”
Mrs Badenoch reiterated her social gathering’s plan to revive the two-child profit cap and divert billions earmarked for web zero initiatives to spice up defence spending.
She stated: “The question is not whether Britain must rearm. It is what trade-offs we must make to get there.
“I’ve chosen my precedence, and that’s to maintain British households protected. And it can require extra powerful selections.”
The Conservative leader added: “But rearming Britain can’t wait till the subsequent Conservative Government.
“So I say to the Prime Minister, let’s put our party interests aside. We both agree we have to rearm. Let’s find the money. Let’s identify the spending cuts.
