The Metropolitan Police have confirmed an “increased police presence” in Kensington Gardens, one of the crucial common parks in London.
A press release issued at 11.38am on April 17 learn: “There is an increased police presence in Kensington Gardens and officers are assessing a number of discarded items.
“As a precaution, a number of the officers who’ve been deployed are sporting protecting clothes.
“We recognise this may concern local residents and the wider public.
“We don’t consider there to be any elevated public security danger at this stage, however we might urge folks to keep away from the realm whereas officers perform their work.”
