John Kerry Mocks Trump War, Patel Booze Scandal With 1 Quip | EUROtoday

Diplomat and one-time Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry savaged President Donald Trump’s conflict in Iran and the scandal round FBI Director Kash Patel’s alleged consuming habits in a single reducing comment throughout a Tuesday night time cease to “The Late Show.”

Weighing in on international affairs with host Stephen Colbert, Kerry scoffed at the truth that Trump was already heralding a yet-to-be-done peace deal as “FAR BETTER” than the 2015 nuclear settlement the previous secretary of state helped negotiate underneath President Barack Obama.

The former senator argued that the president virtually made conflict “inevitable” by pulling out of the earlier deal as a result of it left Iran “no freedom to move in a different direction,” whereas noting how entry to the Strait of Hormuz was merely not an issue earlier than the U.S. began dropping bombs.

“Are those the best ways to negotiate?” a faux-incredulous Colbert requested. “In other words, if you start, as I said before, if you start with an act of war, is that the best way to start a peace talk?”

“No, obviously not,” Kerry stated. “No, I think what he’s doing now is challenging the validity of his FIFA World Peace Prize.”

“Don’t even joke about that,” scolded Colbert, who known as the dignity, which has solely ever been awarded to Trump, “sacred.”

Kerry then managed to knock Trump and the top of his FBI in a single swoop, saying “the bottom line” was the U.S. could be in the perfect form “if neither Iran nor Kash Patel are getting bombed.”

Patel has been defending himself in opposition to accusations of heavy consuming and absentee management on the FBI, which had been detailed in a closely sourced story by The Atlantic printed final week.

On Monday, Patel responded to the allegations by submitting a typo-ridden $250 million lawsuit in opposition to the journal and author Sarah Fitzpatrick, citing defamation.
