A six-year-old woman has died and one other little one has been taken to hospital after they had been hit by a automotive in Paisley.
Emergency providers had been known as to the scene in Johnston Street within the Renfrewshire city about 5.30pm on Saturday.
Police Scotland mentioned the six-year-old was pronounced lifeless on the scene, and a seven-year-old woman was taken to hospital.
Officers are interesting for data as investigations proceed.
Sergeant Jack Swindells mentioned: “Around 5.30pm on Saturday April 25, 2026, police received a report of two children being struck by a car on Johnston Street, Paisley.
“Emergency services attended and a six-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene. A seven-year-old girl was taken to hospital for treatment.
“Inquiries remain ongoing and our thoughts are with the family of the girl who died. They ask that their privacy is respected at this time.”
