A luxurious UK vacation agency which provides bookings to prime locations in Europe and Asia has closed down after plunging into administration.

Salamander Voyages, based mostly in Belfast, provided non-public crusing holidays in hotspots together with Turkey, Greece, Croatia and Italy.

The private non-public holidays from the family-owned agency have been customisable. On Instagram, the agency stated: “Every voyage is private, personal and entirely yours – from the destinations you choose to the memories you create. Salamander does not provide holidays. It helps guests write stories they will remember for a lifetime.”

The agency’s holidays embrace sailings from £3,000 per individual. Upcoming journeys included a crusing of the Turkish Gulf between June 15 and 22 which headed to “small villages, pristine secluded bays and less-known historical sites”.

From October 5 to 17, one other Turkish crusing was deliberate for the western half of the Gulf.

Former Strictly host Claudia Winkleman was among the many star company to e-book with the agency previously. She stated: “The holiday was absolutely amazing. The boat is beautiful and the crew were outstanding.

“The most relaxing week of our lives. We love you Salamander.”

But the agency, buying and selling because the early 2000s, has now posted a message on its web site asserting its closure.

It stated: “After 23 years of wonderful sailing in the Aegean Sea, we are very sad to announce Salamander Voyages has taken the difficult decision to close its doors.

“Please note that on 22 April, 2026 Scott Murray and Ian Davison of Keenan Corporate Finance Ltd were appointed as Joint Administrators of the Company. For any creditor queries, please contact the Joint Administrators’ office by telephone (028 9023 3023) or email (info@keenancf.com).”

When vacation companies do collapse, bookings are cancelled and holidaymakers lose their journey and their cash, until their agency was lined by ATOL safety.
