The Pentagon on Friday stated that it’s withdrawing about 5,000 troops from Germany amid a feud between President Donald Trump and Chancellor Friedrich Merz over the U.S. struggle in Iran.
The Pentagon’s chief spokesman, Sean Parnell, stated in a press release that the choice follows a “thorough review” of the navy’s power posture in Europe. “We expect the withdrawal to be completed over the next six to twelve months,” Parnell stated.
