10 years in the past this part devoted to explaining arithmetic with rigor, context and public vocation started in EL PAÍS. Coffee and theorems was born as a proposal from the Institute of Mathematical Sciences (ICMAT) to incorporate arithmetic, normally little coated within the science sections of newspapers, within the common media. The thought was acquired with enthusiasm by Patricia Fernández de Lis from EL PAÍS and we started our journey with a article on Ramanujan.
