This week, a Russian cargo ship, with a reputation straight out of an Eric Ambler spy novel, the Mechanic Makarin, made a stopover in Sousse, Tunisia, earlier than stopping in jap Libya. On April 8, two ships, the Ivan Greene hooked up to the Alexander Otrakovsky, docked in Tobruk, Libya, from the Russian naval base of Tartus in Syria.
