A neighbour took her revenge to the subsequent stage after a row ensued over discarded cigarette ends over a shared entrance backyard. One Reddit consumer has revealed how they dealt with the “absolute nightmare” residing subsequent door and it is left social media in stitches.

Explaining the sitation, the poster used a pretend title – “Jane” – for the poorly behaved neighbour. She stated that Jane was a 23-year-old mother-of-two and was not a problem to dwell subsequent to to start out with.

Writing on the platform she defined that the 2 homes had been “connected and our front gardens are connected with no fence/wall boundary.” She added that household and pals frequently got here spherical and used the entrance garden.

The 24-year-old then claimed that there wasn’t only a few discarded cigarettes, however a lot. “We look closer and there are A LOT of cigarette ends, not just a few so I politely text Jane informing her of the situation and ask if she can come and clear them up as there are quite a lot.”

In response, the neighbour allegedly gave the girl quick shrift: “She replied bluntly saying they aren’t hers. I replied I know she doesn’t smoke but we know her mum does and say again I know it was probably the wind blowing them but there are quite a lot so can she come clear them.

“She says her mum doesn’t smoke out the front- solely the again, I say now we have seen her out the entrance smoking, she then says her mum places them down the drain (unlawful the place we’re).

“I replied saying can you please just come sort them out and she never replies. We don’t put a time limit on it but we leave it a week and no-one comes to clear them up. We contact our local council about them (in case it happens again) and they said take pictures, bag them and count them and then return them to Jane. So that’s what we do…”

It’s when the couple go to rely up and bag the cigarette ends that the realise the size of the issue.

“42 CIGARETTE ENDS!! My partner (I’m disabled) goes outside to clear them up after a week. I was stood near him and about halfway through Jane leaves the house with a guy and the pram and they both stopped, stared at us and then just walked off.

“When we’d completed, taken photos and so forth. we wrote on the bag ’42 cigarette ends’, sealed it (Ziploc bag) and threw it over the again backyard fence into their backyard. A couple of hours later she comes dwelling and finds them, takes an image and messages me saying ‘Thanks for throwing these in my backyard understanding I’ve kids’.

The poster stated the stark transfer did provoke extra abusive reactions with the dispute removed from resolved.

Reddit customers backed the poster and stated she did nothing improper. One stated: “The baby isn’t crawling out to the bag; if the four-year-old finds it before she does then that’s on her. Next time put the bag on her front porch and take a photo of same.”

Another added: “You tried to be polite. Children that age should be watched outside, so she should be able to intervene before they get into her guest’s trash.”

While a 3rd stated: “I would definitely get a camera that shows them throwing trash in your yard. I would also file a complaint if possible. Littering is a crime so maybe you can get proof of them doing it.”
