Over the years well-known US Presidents are given the film biopic therapy from Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln to Oliver Stone’s Nixon.

And now it’s Ronald Reagan’s flip in a movie that charts his Hollywood profession proper into his Eighties presidency.

Dennis Quaid stars because the fortieth Commander-in-Cheif, having beforehand performed Bill Clinton in HBO film The Special Relationship.

The 70-year-old is an Independent who has supported each Republican and Democrat candidates prior to now, however says Reagan is his favorite president.

Reagan, which was shot in 2020 on a price range of $25 million, co-stars Penelope Ann Miller as Nancy Reagan and Jon Voight as Viktor Petrovich.

The first trailer for the biopic has landed together with the next synopsis: “From dusty small-town roots, to the glitter of Hollywood, and then on to commanding the world stage, REAGAN is a cinematic journey of overcoming the odds. Told through the voice of Viktor Petrovich, a former KGB agent who followed Reagan’s ascent, Reagan captures the indomitable spirit of the American dream.”

Reagan hits US film theatres on August 30, 2024 and a UK launch date is TBC.
