Two Tory ministers starred in a Gogglebox-style video reacting to the primary leaders’ debate between Rishi Sunak and Sir Keir Starmer.

Mel Stride and Gillian Keegan have been filmed watching Tuesday night time’s (4 June) conflict between the prime minister and the Labour chief with what seemed to be alcoholic drinks beside them, just like the Channel 4 present.

The pair provided their reactions to the controversy, commenting on the PM’s “crisp” shirt and telling Sir Keir to cease speaking about Liz Truss.

A YouGov immediate response ballot gave Mr Sunak a slim win of 51 per cent to 49 per cent within the debate.
