The portray The cherry hatpainted by the impressionist artist Pierre-Auguste Renoir in 1884, and which belonged to the non-public property of the Duchess of Alba, has been offered to a Spanish purchaser for round 8.7 million euros. The work was exhibited this March on the stand of the American gallery MS Rau, through the TEFAF Art and Antiques Fair (Maastricht).
